Joy Hicks, MBA, Realtor®

Joy Hicks graduated with honors, obtaining her Bachelor's degree and later her MBA in Finance. She commenced her career in corporate finance at Merrill Lynch, where her efforts to enhance processes contributed to the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Subsequently, she transitioned to a role in process improvement and project management at Homeside Lending. Eventually, she assumed the position of VP of the Fraud Department at Washington Mutual Bank, overseeing a team dedicated to investigating broker fraud in mortgages and earning recognition as a Summit Club winner. In 2007, she ventured into entrepreneurship, focusing on remodeling historic homes and successfully buying, renovating, and selling over $10 million worth of properties in the Jacksonville area, particularly in San Marco. Moreover, she provided consulting services to homeowners, aiding in their remodels and coordinating with contractors and sub-contractors to achieve their desired outcomes. With extensive knowledge in creating appealing living spaces and enhancing home values, she excels in identifying renovations that offer the best returns on investment and is adept at staging homes for sale. During her inaugural year in real estate, she was recognized as one of the top 100 realtors in Florida and achieved the 100% club status. Furthermore, she has actively contributed to the boards of Friends of Hendricks and Friends of Landon, demonstrating her commitment to community involvement. In addition to her professional endeavors, she has dedicated herself to coaching the Wolfson Varsity Cheer Team, leading them to remarkable achievements at the state and national levels over the past 8 years.
